An Affirming & Collaborative Practice

Hi, I’m Hajra. A psychologist working with members of the expat, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ community to support them through life’s challenges. I bring a compassionate, culturally-sensitive, and affirming approach to therapy, and hold a space where you can show up fully as yourself.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, numb, overwhelmed, or burnt out; navigating identity or loneliness; struggling with relationships or low motivation; adjusting to a new environment; or simply needing someone in your corner to reflect on life’s changes- I’m here for you, and we can work through this together in therapy.

I believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual, which is why I take a
client-centered approach.

Empathy and positive regard for my clients are of utmost importance to me, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and valued.

I will do my best to understand the challenges you are facing, and together we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels right to you.

I work with anyone requiring services in English or Hindi, and adapt each session to meet your specific and timely needs in order to improve your mental health.

A space where you can show up fully as yourself

I specialise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which are first line skills and evidence based treatments. I also use Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy and knowledge about Internal Family Systems in my practice. By blending these modalities, I offer a tailored approach that is scientific, structured, and grounded in curiosity for each person’s individual experience.

My sessions with you will place high importance on building trust as a foundation for growth, ensuring first that you feel safe and supported throughout our work together and actively collaborating with you to achieve your goals. 

I want to make a genuine connection with you during therapy. In a trusting and safe environment, we can work together to reframe negative thinking patterns, process past traumas, and foster behavioral change which can lead to lasting growth.
